Former Asante Kotoko coach Steve Polack is among four candidates shortlisted for the vacant Gor Mahia job.

The 57-year-old, born in Birmingham led Kotoko to win the 2017 MTN Ghana FA Cup with a heavy 3-1 win over rivals Hearts of Oak at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

Polack faces competition from Turkish-Cypriot Hassan Oktay who watched the team's 1-0 Super Cup defeat to Kariobangi Sharks at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Others are Italian Stefano Maccoppi and an unnamed Russian coach.

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has revealed the quartet will face an interview before settling on the successor for Briton Dylan Kerr who resigned mid last month to take up South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit Black Leopards job.

Polack also coached King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League.
