Some former Asante Kotoko players and technical staff wants to face the Professor Lydia Nkansah investigative committee over their dismissals from the club.

In August 2019, management announced terminating the appointments of eight members in what they termed was part of a redundancy exercise.

Those affected included former Team Managers Godwin Ablordey and Prince Adu Poku- all former captains of the Porcupine Warriors during their playing days.

The rest included former Kotoko youth team coach Ernest Appau and his assistant Ibrahim Gariba and Equipment Officer, Benjamin Oppong.

Others were the late former physiotherapist, Omono Asamoah; Richard Hammond, a long serving Masseur, and the security personnel at the club's former training ground, Officers Mess in Ridge, Kumasi, Achulo Gonja.

Adu Poku told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM: ''Many like me are aggrieved as to how we were sacked from the team after serving the team wholeheartedly. Omono Asamoah died a blind man.
