Former Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic is being linked with a return to English football.
The Mirror says Jokanovic tops Blackburn's list to succeed the sacked Gary Bowyer.
Blackburn's owners Venky's have axed Bowyer because Rovers are languishing near the Championship drop zone and Jokanovic and Paul Lambert are their leading candidates to take over.
It is understood Venky's have been talking to Jokanovic and Lambert for some weeks and they want a coach with a proven track record of winning promotion to the Premier League.
Serbian Jokanovic took over at Maccabi Tel Aviv in June and has led them to second in the Israeli league, while Lambert is out of work.
