Fortuna Dusseldorf manager Uwe Rosler has come to defence of Kassim Nuhu Adams following his side's heavy home to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Dusseldorf were pummeled 4-1 by Borussia Monchengladbach at the Merkur Spiel Arena on Saturday in the Bundesliga.

Ghana defender Adams committed some errors in the game which benefited the away side but Rosler says he takes the blame.

"I'm putting the lineup of Adams on my cap. I am solely responsible for this, " he said.

"But you could see that Kasim was lacking in game practice,"

Adams substituted in the second half as Markus Suttner replaced him when the game was 3-1.

The win is Monchengladbach's first in Dusseldorf in 30 years.
