Fortuna Düsseldorf sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel has ruled out signing on on-loan defender Kasim Adams permanently.

This means the Ghana international will be returning to his parent club TSG Hoffenheim at the end of his spell in the summer.

Fortuna Düsseldorf acquired the services of the centre back for the season with no option to buy.

Two other on-loan players- goalkeeper Zack Steffen (from Manchester City) and Mathias "Zanka" Jürgensen (from Fenerbahçe) cannot be bought by the club.

Adams, 24, has managed 12 league appearances for the struggling Bundesliga side.
