Fortuna Düsseldorf striker Bernard Tekpetey could miss Bundesliga clash against FC Köln

Ghanaian striker Bernard Tekpetey could miss the second straight game following the resumption of the Bundesliga as he is a doubt for Fortuna Düsseldorf's derby clash against FC Köln on Sunday.

Tekpetey was not in action when Dusseldorf played out a goalless stalemate with Paderborn last weekend due to injury.

However, he resumed training earlier this week and was hopeful he will be fully recovered in order to be available for the derby at the RheinEnergieStadion.

But head coach Uwe Rösler said at a pre-match conference on Friday that he is unsure of the attacker's fitness.

"Dawid Kownacki could be for the first time since his injury are back in the squad, but with Bernard, I'm not sure," said Rösler.

His compatriots Nana Opoku Ampomah, Kelvin Ofori, and Kasim Nuhu are expected to make the match-day squad.

The 22-year-old joined Düsseldorf on loan from Schalke 04 and has made only nine appearances in the German Bundesliga before it was suspended.
