Fortuna Düsseldorf to slash salaries of players due to coronavirus- Kassim Nuhu reveals

Ghana and Fortuna Düsseldorf defender Kassim Nuhu Adams has revealed that there are plans to slash the salary of the players due to the coronavirus outbreak. 

Most teams in Europe are in talks with their players to reduce their salaries as part of measures to save the finances of club and also  help fight the coronavirus outbreak.

Bundesliga teams such as Bayern Munich, Dortmund, have all contacted their players on negotiating for salary reduction with Fortuna Düsseldorf joining the train.

Footballers have also donated money and equipment to their countries to fight the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Kassim Nuhu Adams in an interview on Kingdom TV opened up on the coronavirus outbreak in Germany and how his club is contributing to fight the deadly disease.

“Because of the coronavirus outbreak, Fortuna Düsseldorf has planned to slash about forty percent (40%) of our salaries to support the fight of the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.

"Our Club 'Fortuna Düsseldorf' are planning to slash our salary between forty to sixty percent due to coronavirus outbreak." He revealed.

He added: “The  team is also planning to donate some amount and equipment to the health centers in Germany to help fight the coronavirus”.
