Ghanaian forward Godsway Donyoh was on the scoresheet for Neftchi Baku in their narrow victory over Zira FK in the Azerbaijani Premier League last Friday.
Donyoh opened the scoring for Neftchi who cruised to a 2-1 victory in the third round of the Azerbaijani League.
The former Nordsjaelland player netted the opening goal of the match after receiving a pass from Nigerian forward Yusuf Lawal in the 14th minute.
Zira restored parity of the match in the 56th minute through Frenchman Hamidou Keyta who converted a penalty kick.
Neftchi sealed the victory eleven minutes to the end of the encounter with a goal from Russian midfielder Azer Aliev.
Donyoh has been lethal in the 2022-23 Azerbaijani Premier League season since it kicked off having scored twice in three games so far.
