Four Ghana Premier League (GPL) teamsâHearts of Oak, Accra Lions, Dreams FC, and Legon Citiesâare set to share the University of Ghana Stadium as their home ground due to the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium for maintenance.
Legon Cities already use the facility as their primary venue, but the closure has forced Hearts of Oak, Accra Lions, and Dreams FC to relocate.
Hearts of Oak will host Bechem United there this weekend, while Dreams FC will take on Kpando Heart of Lions. Accra Lions will also play their next match at the same venue.
The University of Ghana Stadium, which was recently renovated for the Accra African Games, has a seating capacity of 10,000. The government invested $34 million in upgrading the facility to meet international standards.
