Four hooligans arrested during boycotted Hearts-Kotoko memorial match

Police have confirmed the arrest of four riotous football fans in the wake of the botched May 9 ceremonial match.

The four persons- Eric Kwasi, Kennedy Amponsah, Isaac Owusu and Tanko Mohammed were rounded up at the Accra Sports Stadium over the weekend for what police say was an attempt to destroy properties at the stadium.

They were subsequently remanded at the Chorkor Police Station and will appear in court on Tuesday.

Soccer fans went ballistic after Hearts of Oak pulled out of a supposed friendly against Kotoko.
