Free speech? Barcelona want to SILENCE Real Madrid pundits

Published on: 01 December 2015

Barcelona are taking on former Real Madrid players Manolo Sanchís and Poli Rincón over comments made during last week's El Clasico.

Barcelona have called on the National Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport to launch proceedings against the pair, on the grounds that the duo "incited violence" by publicly backing Isco for lashing out at Neymar during the recent 'Clásico'. The incident led to the Spanish playmaker being sent off.

"On the day of the game, both Sanchís and Rincón justified Isco's kick on Neymar on the air for COPE, and yesterday [Sunday] they repeated the sentiment, despite the presenter of the Tiempo de Juego show, Paco González, giving them opportunities to correct themselves," according to a Barça press statement.
