Austrian-born Kevin Danso is close to completing a move to French side Lens from Augsburg in the ongoing transfer window.

According to German news outlet Kicker, Lens and Augsburg have reached an agreement to sign Kevin Danso.

The Austria international will join the club in a €5.5m deal that will rise to around €7.5m dependent on performance related bonuses whilst Augsburg have also included a sell-on percentage fee in the deal.

Last month, Danso told Augsburg he would no longer train or play for them to try to force through a move to RC Lens, and it now seems he will have his wish fulfilled.

Per the report, Lens will put the 22-year-old centre-back through a medical today after the clubs agreed on a transfer fee of €7 million including bonuses.

Danso has featured a total of 44 times for Augsburg with three goals and two assists to his name. He spent last season on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf.
