French side Stade Reims table offer for Ghana defender Gideon Mensah

French Lique 1 side Stade Reims have reportedly tabled an official bid for Ghana defender Gideon Mensah, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The 22-year-old impressed heavily on loan at Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.

The left-back featured 19 times and registered two assists before the Belgian Jupilar Pro League was cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.

Stade Reims manager David Guion  has identified the Ghanaian as a perfect bill for the position which has not been same since Baba Rahman left.

Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht have submitted a loan bid to sign Ghana defender while Genk are also believed to be interested.

There are also multiple interest from several other clubs including Saint Etienne, Club Brugge,  Porto, Sporting Braga, Sporting Lisbon and Vitoria Guimaraes.

Mensah's contract with the Austrian champions will expire on June 30, 2024.
