French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes have officially put on display John Boye's jersey to mark their French Cup triumph in the 2012/13 season.

Though the  Ghana defender has left the French club and is now playing with Turkish side Kayseri Erciyesspor, Rennes are still honouring him for his influential display in the title winning campaign.

Boye helped Rennes appear in three league cup finals during his four season spell at the club and won one of them.

He joined Rennes in the 2010/11 season from Ghanaian side Kpando Heart of Lions and is the only Ghanaian to have won a title with them with John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan failing to achieve the feat while with the club.
