Frimpong tastes defeat on Wolves debut

Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong played his first match for Wolves on Monday in their 2-1 home defeat to Chelsea in the English Premier League.

The on-loan Arsenal youngster was handed a starting role by manager Mick McCarthy but was he was replaced just after the hour mark.

The 19-year-old has left the Emirates to gain more first team experience.

Frimpong was disappointed his debut ended in defeat but praised his teammates for their spirited performance.

'Shame about the result Fans were absolutely brilliant. If we show this spirit we celebrating Come end of may," Frimpong wrote on his official twitter page.

Frimpong is awaiting a Fifa clearance to play for Ghana.
