Former Asante Kotoko player Christopher Nettey has made a temporal switch from football to futsal after inking a short team deal with Blessed Kickers.
Nettey, who played for Great Olympics last season, joined the futsal club following the expiration of his contract with the relegated club.
The right-back failed to secure a deal in the transfer window and in a bid to maintain his fitness signed for the Accra-based futsal team.
He made his debut for the club in their 4-3 victory over Adenta Youth, scoring on his first appearance for the team.
Nettey, who once received a Black Stars call-up, disclosed he will be returning to football in the January transfer window by either signing for a club in the Ghana Premier League or moving abroad.
Before the end of the transfer window in August, the 26-year-old was linked with Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak but a deal could not be reached.
The Ghana Premier League winner made 96 appearances for both Kotoko and Olympics in the Ghana Premier League, scoring three goals and delivering four assists.
