When Michael Essien Goes Shopping at a Traditional Market in Indonesia

ersib Bandung football club’s marquee player Michael Essien has again caused quite a stir among netizens and Persib Bandung’s loyal fans.

The scene started when Essien was caught on one of the netizens’ camera while shopping at a traditional market. Interestingly again, the former Chelsea player was not embarrassed to bring along a shopping bag usually worn by women when shopping at traditional markets to carry groceries.

It is easy for Ghana-born Essien to buy branded expensive goods. However, Essien remains one of the humblest footballers and does not hesitate to mingle with ordinary citizens.

Netizen @lynnaa0903 took the picture of Essien was shopping. Funnily enough, the 34-year-old player was carrying around a large shopping bag for groceries.

Essien stood in front of a socks and batagor snack food merchant. This funny photo of Essien has become viral among netizens and Persib Bandung fans.

This photo has gotten likes from more than 3,000 people, including Essien.
