Frosinone boss admits to low morale after Roma defeat

Frosinone coach Roberto Stellone admits his side are lacking in morale after a 3-1 defeat to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Daniel Ciofani scored for the Gialloazzurri but Radja Nainggolan, Miralem Pjanic and new signing Stephan El Shaarawy all netted for Roma.

“We had a great first half and took the game to Roma, but in the second half we became disunited,” Stellone told Mediaset Premium.

“It wasn’t an easy match having conceded so early, and perhaps the outcome would have been different had that not been the case.

“When Roma scored the third it was game over, we must not give up as we can still survive if we beat the teams at the bottom.”

Inter goalkeeper Francesco Bardi has arrived on loan, with Nicola Leali now under added pressure to keep his first team spot.

“[Francesco] Bardi is a very good goalkeeper and will compliment the other two great goalkeepers we have,” Stellone added.

“We’re going through a tough period, we’re lacking in morale but have a chance next week against Bologna.”

Frosinone are 19th in Serie A with three points separating them from Carpi.
