Fulham FC are trying to lure midfielder Daniel Amartey to the Craven Cottage and have made an offer to Leicester City according to reports.

Football Insider claim the Cottagers have approached the Foxes about the availability of the Ghanaian who could leave the King Power stadium for £5m.

Amartey has struggled to feature in Brendan Rodgers' first-team plans, a problem not helped by injuries.

Fulham have held a long-standing interest in the former Djurgardens IF and FC Copenhagen man, having had approaches rejected last January.

Fulham boss Scott Parker is an admirer of the versatile player and is keen on adding him to his squad this season.

Amartey, who signed for the club for £6m from FC Copenhagen four years ago, featured and scored for Leicester in pre-season in a friendly but has not played any competitive game so far.

He has two years left on his Leicester contract.
