Gargo's future at RTU still in the balance - Alhassan Abu

Real Tamale United Board Member Jones Alhassan Abu says Mohammed Gargo's position as coach going into the new season is not certain.

The former Ghana international led the Tamale-based club to win back promotion into the top flight within just a year of getting relegated.

It was expected the former Udinese captain will be handed permanent charge of the team going into the next season considering his achievement.

But Alhassan Abu insists a decision over Gargo's future with the team will be reviewed by the club's board.

"I cannot tell you for sure whether he (Gargo) will continue as our coach," he said.

"The Board will have to meet to take a conclusive decision on that so for now we hold on until the decision is made."

RTU secured promotion in grand fashion - winning all three games in the Middle League.
