Gerard Pique enters race to secure Serie A foreign TV rights

Gerard Pique is continuing to build an empire off the pitch for when he retires from football, and his Kosmos Global Holding company have entered the race to secure the foreign TV rights for Serie A matches.

The Catalan defender is currently out of action due to an internal lateral ligament injury in his right knee, but he is able to focus on his business whilst he is absent.

Serie A have announced that they will open the auction for the sale of their TV rights for 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24, and up to 50 companies have registered an interest.

Gazzetta dello Sport confirmed that Pique's company is one of those interested in taking over the foreign TV rights of Italy's top flight.

Kosmos will be competing directly with Mediapro, DAZN, IMG and Infront, whilst Andrea Radrizzani's Aser Fund will also be interested.
