The 32-year-old joined the fourth-tier side in the summer last year and was appointed player-coach in March this year.

There were concerns the 31-year-old former Bundesliga star would be allowed to leave at the end of last season.

But the club has kept faith with him after including him in the roaster for the upcoming season.
