Germany hands Ghanaian youngster Kwadwo Baah call-up

Watford forward Kwadwo Baah has received an invite from the Germany ahead of the international break. 

The German-born Ghanaian will represent the U19 team of the European country amid interest from the Black Stars of Ghana.

The striker will miss Watford's game against Everton as he joins his international teammates who are hoping t0o qualify for the EURO U19 champions next month.

This means his interest in playing for Ghana in not encouraging and would likely represent the Germany national team in future.

“I was born near Stuttgart, so that’s how I qualify to play for Germany,” he said. “My dad used to play football out there semi-professionally, and my parents probably lived there for around 25 to 30 years," he added in an interview with Watford.

“We moved to Ghana when I was still very young and then to England when I was five, but as I got older and started to realise playing for Germany might be a possibility I thought it sounded like a really exciting opportunity."

The Ghana Football Association has been working on getting Europe-born Ghanaian play for the Black Stars.
