The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has handed over buses to Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies, winners of the Northern and Southern Zones of the 2023/24 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
The gesture forms part of the GFA’s Bus Acquisition Strategy, which aims to ease transportation challenges and improve the operational efficiency of football clubs across the country.
GFA President Kurt Okraku described the initiative as a strategic effort to strengthen clubs and promote sustainable development within the women’s game. He noted that the buses would enhance the logistics and performance of the beneficiary teams.
This latest support follows a similar intervention last year, when the GFA provided buses to nine Division One League clubs, including Young Apostles FC, Techiman Heroes FC, Victory Club Warriors, Basake Holy Stars, New Edubiase FC, Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs, Vision FC, Okwawu United, and Hohoe United. Some of these clubs have since earned promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
The GFA says these efforts reflect its broader commitment to supporting club growth and driving long-term progress in Ghana football.
