The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has announced Thursday January 23, 2025 as the new date for the election of officers to serve in the Executive Council for the next four years.
The election was originally scheduled for Tuesday January 21, 2025 but has now been move forward due to 'circumstances beyond the control' of the club's welfare body.
GHALCA go to the polls on January 23 to elect a Chairman and seven other Executive Council members following the expiration of the mandate of the Kudjoe Fianoo led-administration.
Vice-Chairman John Kofi Ansah is the front runner for the top job but hotly pursued by formidable candidate and former Executive Council member Isaac Wilberforce Koomson.
Nana Amankwah Kwakye, who is the leading candidate for the Vice-Chairmanship slot, is also being challenged by Phylis Marku Moncar.
The battle for two representatives for the Premier League slot is being contested by Fred Tindana (Gold Stars FC), Abdul Rahman (Vision FC) and Nkoo Joseph (Berekum Chelsea).
The GHALCA Elections will take place at the Association's secretariat at 9am local time.
