Ghana League Clubs Association of Ghana (GHALCA) Chairman, John Ansah, has condemned the violent disturbances that occurred during the league match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko, describing them as "barbaric".

Ansah urged stakeholders to unite in finding a solution to hooliganism, emphasising that it cannot be allowed to continue.

"We cannot continue to lose lives in the name of football. It is unacceptable. The entire football fraternity must come together to find lasting solutions to these security challenges," Ansah stated.

The recent disturbances led to the tragic death of one supporter, and six suspects have been arrested in connection with the violence.

The Police have assured the public of thorough investigations to ensure the perpetrators are identified and made to face the law.

Ansah's call to action is a step towards addressing the growing concern of hooliganism in Ghana football. He emphasised the need for collective action to prevent such incidents from recurring.
