GHALCA insists the Top Four tournaments  will come off despite cancelling its official launch.

Oficials of the unbrella body of the local clubs were billed to launch the 2012 edition of the pre-season tournaments on Thursday but called it off at the eleventh hour over financial disagreements.

With no major sponsorship secured for the tournaments, there are many who fear the tournamnet may be cancelled.

But GHALCA boss Alhaji Ali Raji is adamant about staging the tournament this year.

“We have not cancelled the Top Four at all. There were few problems with the dates and that’s what we hope to correct,” Raji said

“I want to assure fans that we are still on course and putting plans together. We haven’t abandoned the tournament at all,"

"We hope to launch it on Tuesday to put all the speculations to rest."

This year’s Top For will be contested by League Champions Kotoko, FA Cup finalist Ashantigold, Hearts and Medeama.
