Bechem United have canceled their pre-season tour of Europe to focus on the GHALCA 6 tournament set to kick-start in Accra on Wednesday.

Kasim Mingle's side will not shift their focus on the prestigious G6 tournament to prepare for the new season.

The Hunters called off their tour of Europe for the second successive time - but this time to participate in the G6 tournament set to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Communication Director of the club, Emmanuel Gyasi has confirmed the club has pulled out of the trip to Europe due to 'issues beyond their control'

“Unfortunately, due to certain reasons beyond our control, we had to put the pre-season tour of Europe on hold and then put ourselves together here in Ghana,” Communications Director of the club, Emmanuel Gyasi told Kumasi-based Luv FM.

“So, at the moment, the team is in Accra that’s where we are having our pre-season, it is the same thing we did last season.

“We are looking at spending at least four weeks here in Accra and finally we get back to Bechem to complete the pre-season and prepare fully for the 2022/23 season."

United will battle Great Olympics on Wednesday in their opening 2022 G6 match, scheduled for 16:00 GMT.

Bechem United will commence their 2022/23 Ghana premier league campaign with an away fixture against Accra Great Olympics in Accra.
