The Ghana League Club Associations (GHALCA) are preparing to launch this year’s President’s Cup which will feature two foreign teams in a four-team contest.

The association is yet to finalize on the foreign teams they will be inviting for their inaugural four-team tournament.

GHALCA will however give the opportunity of selecting the two Ghanaian teams that will feature in the tournament to football fans through SMS.

The President’s Cup is an annual competition organized by the Ghana League Clubs Association to honour the head of state.

Two teams often play a one-off match in this contest.

They are however revisiting their old format of the Top Four but including foreign teams.

The official launch date for this year’s innovation is yet to be determined but GHALCA are looking at May 7 tentatively.
