Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has given a refreshing update on his injury, saying he does not use crutches again.

Kudus joined Ajax in a big money move from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland in the summer.

The 20-year-old made an instant impression in his first months at the club, winning two Man-of-the-Match accolades in three games.

His burgeoning career has however been halted for some time after sustaining a serious knee injury during the Champions League match against Liverpool.

During an interview with Inside Ajax, the Ghana international disclosed he is on the right path in his recovery process.

"I can do almost everything again: Driving a car, walking without crutches. I have started my rehabilitation and everything is back to normal,” said Kudus, who underwent an operation on his meniscus.

"The operation went well. I got nice messages from everyone at the club. I want to thank everyone for that."

He continued, “I watch every game, in my mind I am with them, even though I am not physically present. I support and pray for them at every game."

He is expected to make a return to the pitch early next year.
