Ghana axed Turkish coach Vanli over lies in his CV

Former France captain Marcel Desailly is disappointed with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over how his quest for the vacant Black Stars coaching post has been handled.

Vanli conned his way into the five-man shortlisted after sickeningly embellishing his CV.

In his official CV to the GFA he claimed that he was the assistant coach of the Turkish national team at the World Cup in 2002.

But MTNFootball.com exposed him last week when his role as a computer analyst for the Turkey was revealed.

He was tasked with using computer software to analyse opponents, an area Vanli has excelled.

Apart from that he has only coach second and third division clubs in his home country.

Ghana will now concentrate on four shortlisted coaches Marcel Desailly, Goran Stevanovic, Humberto Coelho and Herbert Addo. A new Black Stars coach is expected to be named by next month.
