Ghana captain Andre Ayew delighted to score in Al Sadd victory over Umm Salal

Ghana captain Andre Ayew has reacted to Al Sadd's victory over Umm Salal in the Qatari Stars League on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. 

The 31-year-old bagged his sixth goal of the campaign to help the Wolves to a 3-1 victory at the Souad Bin Abdulrahman stadium.

After the game, he took to Twitter to share his excitement, "Three points, we continue. Alhamdulilah."

 

Following a slow start to the game by Al Sadd, which saw them concede after just six minutes. The Qatari giants bounced back immediately to level through Alif Akram's strike before Santi Carzola gave the the lead on the half hour mark.

Andre Ayew then gave Al Sadd a two goal lead four minutes into the second half.

He has been in scintillating form since joining the Qatari champions, and won his first trophy last Friday as they defeated Al Rayyan to win the Emir Cup.

Manager Xavi Hernandez praised the Ghanaian and his teammates for a flawless start to the season.

“I am happy with the victory and the performance of all the players. We have reached 21 points from 7 victories. We have achieved the perfect mark and we will look to keep working, to get more wins," said Xavi to the club's website.
