Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan earned 7.5 millions Euros in China

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has revealed he earned 7.5 million Euros during his time at Shanghai SIPG.

The 31-year-old joined the Chinese Super League side on a two-year deal in 2015 from Dubai-based Al Ain.

However, the Ghanaian was restricted to less number of games as required to a persistent injuries.

He joined United Arab Emirates side Al Ahli on loan before signing a permanent contract with Turkish side Kayserispor.

He has revealed he earned a substantial amount of money when he joined the Chinese side.

“Money is not important to me. I earned 7.5 million Euros in China. I have let go half of the money I will receive from you already," he told fanatik.com.tr

“It’s important to score a goal, but people will be happy when the team wins. I will do what is best for me to make the fans happy. I am really happy to be here."

The former Sunderland forward scored 95 goals in 83 games helping Al Ain win the league three times and in the process finish as UAE Pro League Top Scorer on three occasions.
