Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has sent his deepest condolence to the family of murdered South African goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.

The 27-year-old died shortly after being shot by gunmen around Vosloorus township, near Johannesburg on Sunday night.

Asamoah Gyan joins all South Africans and the rest of the world to mourn with the family of the departed soul.

“It is such a sad news for someone full of promise to lose his life like the way he [Meyiwa] did,” Gyan told AsamoahGyan3.com.

“The news hit me very hard and I can only imagine how difficult these moments are for his family.

“I offer my deepest condolence to the family of Meyiwa and all South Africans for this big loss.”
