Ghana captain Mensah excited by AFCON preparations

Ghana captain John Mensah claims the team's pre-Nations Cup camping is on course after six days of training.

The Black Stars are based in Rustenburg, South Africa and will play test matches to fine tune their preparations.

All but striker Asamoah Gyan has sat out training due to a hamstring injury.

"All is well in camp as we speak. There are no injury concerns except Gyan's but indications are that he will train with team soon," Mensah said.

"We are well composed and very determined to accomplish the lifting of the trophy mission and we can do that through hard work and prayers from every Ghanaian."

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic has submitted his final 23-man squad after he dropped two players-Derek Asamoah and Emmanuel Baffour.
