Ghana coach Akonnor names FOUR local based players ahead of Sudan clash

Ghana coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor named four locally based players as part of his 23 man squad for the AFCON doubler header against Sudan. 

Akonnor  named Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah, Kwadwo Amoako( AshantiGold), Habib Mohammed(AshantiGold) and Yahaya Mohammed (Aduana Stars) in his squad which is dominated by foreign based players.

Missing out of the list was Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan who could not retain his spot due to his inconsistent performance at club level.

Yahaya Mohammed also returns to the squad after a long absence.

The Aduana Stars forward has been in top form this season scoring 10 league goals in the Ghana Premier League.

Kwadwo Amoako has been a revelation for the miners this season as his consistency in games as earned his a spot in the senior national team.

Hearts of Oak Richard Attah has also been superb for the phobians with his outstanding performances this season for the club
