Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says he will name his final squad for the 2014 World Cup after their pre-tournament camping in the Netherlands and the United States.

The Black Stars coach says he has a firm idea about the core of his final squad for the tournament in Brazil in June.

Appiah admits that there are some loopholes in the team that should be sorted after they were beaten 1-0 by Montenegro in a recent friendly.

Ghana will start their pre-tournament camping in the Netherlands in May before proceeding to the United States for the final phase of their preparation for the global competition.

However, Appiah insists that his final squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil will be based on players performance during friendly games during the pre-tournament camping.

“I think I already have my players for the tournament in Brazil [but] I will select my final squad based on the friendly games,” Kwesi Appiah said.

“We’re not too interested in the result against Montenegro but it is good we play such games to shape our team for the tourney,”he reacted after the match in Podgorica.

“There are few things and small touches I would have to do to strengthen my team for the tournament.”

Kwesi Appiah became the first Ghanaians to qualify the Black Stars for the FIFA World Cup after beating Egypt 7-3 on aggregate.

The 2010 World Cup Quarter-finalists are scheduled to play Netherlands before the tournament starts in Brazil.

Ghana face an arduous task at the 2014 World Cup where they play Germany, Portugal and the United States in Group G.
