Ghana coach CK Akonnor anticipates a tough Mali test on his debut

Ghana head coach CK Akonnor is anticipating a thrilling contest against Mali during next month's international friendly.

The Black Stars will be engaging the Malian Eagles on 9 October 2020 in Antalya, Turkey.

Akonnor admits Mali is a strong side and will give the Black Stars a tough game.

"Mali is a strong side, we have seen a couple of matches that they played in the AFCON, a very strong force and it is a very good test for us," he said

However, Akonnor who would be making his very first appearance at the dugout since his appointment in February eyes a win against the Malians.

"We want to go there and try as much as possible to do our best and of course win that match."

The last meeting between the two sides was in Gabon during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations where Ghana emerged victors with 1-0 win.
