Ghana U20 coach Jimmy Cobblah says his charges are in good form ahead of their first-leg clash against Benin in the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Black Satellites will welcome Benin to Cape Coast on Saturday and Cobblah is confident of a convincing victory to make the return leg a mere formality.

The Ghanaian team resumed coming almost three weeks ago after the Anas expose and their coach maintains that despite the short time, they are in shape to face the Young Squirrels.

“Preparations have been good for now and I can assure you that we are ready for a convincing win on Saturday in order to make the second leg a mere formality,” Cobblah told Graphic sports online

“It was not too good when we started concerning the players because they were a bit rusty as there was no football in the country,”

The winner of the two-leg games will qualify to 2019 Under 20 AFCON slated for Niger.

Ghana will welcome Benin to the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Saturday, August 4 for the first encounter.
