Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah is monitoring Ghanaian duo Joseph Aidoo and Joseph Painstil for AFCON 2019 following their impressive performances with Belgian giants KRC Genk.

The pair are likely to be invited for the final AFCON 2019 qualifier against Kenya in Ghana next month.

According to information gathered by GAHANSoccernet, if the pair impress against Kenya, it could be their ticket to Egypt 2019.

Both players have been integral part of the KRC Genk team that is gradually wrapping up the top flight league, after opening an eight point gap at the top of the table.

Joseph Aidoo has played 32 games in all competitions this season for Genk, scoring two goals, one in the Belgian Pro League and the other in the Europa League.

Meanwhile, Painstil, who joined from Ferencvarosi in the summer has played 26 games in all competitions scoring four goals for the club.

Both Painstil and Aidoo were missing in Genk's 4-1 defeat to Slavia Praha as Genk got eliminated from the Europa League.
