Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac wants Jordan Ayew to end goal drought against Zimbabwe

New Ghana coach, Milovan Rajevac has backed striker Jordan Ayew to end his goal drought when the Black Stars play Zimbabwe.

The Crystal Palace attacker has come under massive criticisms for his lack of goals for both club and country.

Ayew last scored for Ghana in the 3-1 victory over Sao Tome and Principe in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, and has since netted once in 42 matches.

"This is something very common for goal scorers. Sometimes they have some crises and find it difficult to score goals but we are here to support our player and it is important for him to have our support and to understand this is a team game," said the Serbian trainer in a pre-match interview.

"So it is important to score goals and sometimes you assist , and we have few other strikers in the team and we believe we can make this work and I hope that his goal drought will probably end tomorrow."

Jordan Ayew will be leading the attack as Ghana play Zimbabwe on Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Cape Coast.
