Black Stars coach Otto Addo has praised Medeama SC for their impressive 1-0 victory over Legon Cities in their Ghana Premier League week two clash on Saturday.
The former Borussia Dortmund talent coach made his remarks after attending the match at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. Medeama's Kamaradini Mamudu scored the game's only goal in the 18th minute, securing a vital win for the visitors.
Speaking to the media after the game, Addo acknowledged Medeama's strength and control throughout the match.
"I think it was a good game. In the end, I think Legon Cities didn't have that power, but I think in the first half and also the second half, there were a few good chances," he noted.
Addo also highlighted some promising young talents from both sides, suggesting they could have a bright future.
"Interesting players, some young players, which are interesting, I have to say. We have to see in the future. But I think Medeama, at the end, deserved to win. They were strong in defense, also in midfield," he added.
The coach commended Medeama's fast strikers and impactful substitutions, reinforcing that their victory was well-earned.
Thanks to this win, Medeama sit at the top of the league table with six points after two games, while Legon Cities are still in search of their first three points of the season.
