Defender John Boye has regained full fitness

Ghana defender John Boye looks set to play in the crucial World Cup qualifier against Zambia next month after returning to full scale training for Rennes after recovering injury, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 26-year-old suffered a muscle strain and missed both of Rennes' opening two games of the Ligue 1 while he was ruled out of Ghana's international friendly against Turkey.

But the former the Black Stars center-back returned to training on Monday and has been named in Rennes' 21-man squad for their trip to Evian TG.

"I have started training and I'll be in the squad for the game on Saturday. I'm glad to be back to training and hopefully play for my club again," he told Ghanasoccernet.com.

Boye's return to fitness will be a good news for Ghana as he would be available for selection in the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia next month.
