Clinton Antwi to start training on Wednesday

Ghanaian defender Clinton Antwi will start training at Danish second tier side Esbjerg on Wednesday just hours after joining the club.

The 20-year-old left-back moves on loan from top-flight Danish side Nordsjælland to the 1st division club Esbjerg in the chase of regulalr palying time.

Antwi joined Nordsjælland from the Ghanaian academy Right to Dream almost three years ago and after a season on the U19 team established himself in the Superliga squad.

To be as strong as possible in the current season, Esbjerg have added the Ghanaian player who starts training immediately and sports director Jimmi Nagel Jacobsen is pleased with the addition.

"Clinton Antwi is a really good left back who fits well into the style of play that should characterize EfB with power, aggression and speed," Sports director Jimmi Nagel Jacobsen said.

"At the same time, we get an extremely hungry and ambitious player who will give us flexibility in the back from day one, so we are very much looking forward to the upcoming collaboration."

Antwi has played 22 matches for Nordsjaelland since his move from Ghana.

He will return to Nordsjaelland at the end of the season.
