Ghana defender Daniel Amartey expected in Leicester City line-up against Watford

Ghana defender Daniel Amartey is expected to once again deputize for Jonny Evans when Leicester City take on Watford.

Evans is racing against time to be fit for Sunday’s game and Amartey is likely to keep his place in the starting line-up.

The defender pulled out of Thursday’s 3-1 Europa League win over Legia Warsaw following the warm-up with a thigh issue.

Amartey came in and played well for Leicester City who edged closer towards securing a place in the knockout stages.

There is no doubt that Amartey has been great this season after struggling in the previous two mainly due to injuries.

The 26-year-old has stayed injury-free and delivered anytime his services had been needed by manager Brendan Rodgers.

Amartey has played 12 games across all competitions and recorded one goal.
