Ghana defender, Gideon Mensah came off the bench to feature for Girondins Bordeaux as they suffered another defeat in Ligue 1 to Brest.

The 23-year-old replaced Ricardo Mangas in the 83rd minute but did little to help the Navy Blues as they lost at home.

Stian Rege Gregersen gave Bordeaux the lead two minutes to half time but Brest came back strongly in the second half.

Jeremy Ledouran leveled on the hour mark before adding his second six minutes later.

The defeat keeps the former Ligue 1 champions 16th despite the investments by new owner Gerard Lopez.

Mensah is on loan from Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg with Bordeaux, having the option of making the deal a permanent one.
