Ghana defender John Pantsil has signed a one-year contract with an option of another year for Israeli giants Hapoel Tel Aviv, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal.

Pantsil is making a return to the Bloomfield Stadium six years after leaving for English Premier League side West Ham United.

He becomes the fourth signing for the Reds after Tal Ben Haim, Zeev Haimovich and Bruno Kotin.

The experienced right-back terminated his contract with English Championship side Leicester City four months ago.

Pantsil has been handed an opportunity to revive his international career and play in this season’s Europa League.

"I feel great. It is always good to get home, the team helped my career a few years ago," Paintsil said on arrival.

"I had a chance to play Premier League, but it is always good to remember the people who helped me here in Israel.

''This country gave me a lot, not only the fans, but the people of Israel gave me a lot of respect.

"I'm excited to see the red fans. They are always amazing and appreciated my abilities.''I love them and cannot wait anymore to see them."

Pantsil has also played for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israeli top-flight.
