Lumor Agbenyenu was unveiled by Goztepe

Ghana defender Lumor Agbenyenu completed his move to Turkish top-flight side Goztepe on Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old swapped Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon for Goztepe after the two clubs reached an agreement.

The left-back is penned a six-month loan deal at the Turkish Super Lig side with the Goztepe retaining the right to make the deal permanent.

He will join the training of the side on Thursday as he has been signed to boost the defence of the club.

It emerged late last year that Agbenyenu was close to leaving the José Alvalade Stadium after failing to churn out regular playing time.

The Ghanaian was linked with a loan move to several clubs in Europe including French club FC Amiens and PSV Eindhoven.

However, Goztepe won the race to sign the enterprising left-back and he is expected to start training immediately after passing the medical.

He has made only eight appearances in all competitions for Sporting CP since joining them from Portimonense around a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros.

Agbenyenu has capped nine times for the senior national team of Ghana.
