Ghana's No. 1

Ghana defender Lumor Agbenyenu set to extend loan deal at Spanish side Mallorca

Ghana defender Lumor Agbenyenu is expected to re-join Spanish side RCD Mallorca for a second loan spell.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola is reporting that the 23-year-old will be sent on another loan expedition from Sporting CP.

The left-back is being deemed surplus to requirement with Sporting CP coach Rúben Amorim revealing the Ghanaian will not get a place in his team.

The idea is to send him on loan to RCD Mallorca for the second time after joining the side last year.

He struggled with recurrent injuries which curtailed his appearances before the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Lumor joined Sporting CP in the winter of 2018 for 2.5 million euros from Portimonense.

He never asserted himself at the club having played just nine games for the Lions before being loaned to Goztepe and Mallora.

He has a contract with Sporting CP until 2022.
