Ghana defender Steffen Nkansah joins German side FSV Zwickau

German-born Ghanaian footballer Steffen Nkansah has completed a move to Bundesliga III side FSV Zwickau in the ongoing transfer window.

The 24-year old joins the club as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with lower-tier side  Eintracht Braunschweig.

Nkansah has signed a two year deal with the club and will see him play for the side till the summer of 2022.

Sporting Director Toni Wachsmuth said the new signing will strengthen FSV Zwickau squad in the ongoing campaign and spoke highly of the Ghanaian defender.

'With Steffen Nkansah we have signed a trained central defender who was a regular in Braunschweig last season and who was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with Eintracht. Steffen has very good athleticism and shows a good physical presence, which will certainly do us good, ” Toni Wachsmuth told the Club's Official website.

Steffen Nkansah made 23 appearances for Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2019/20 campaign and scored two goals for the side.
